For the past years, we, the islanders have been struggling with a NO summer, summer. This basically means it has been a summer full of rain, storms, thunders, mosquitoes, floods and all kinds of things you do not expect to have in one summer on an island in the Caribbean.
But also those years I was studying while working, so technically my summer was filled with a lot of office hours, followed by college rooms and nonprofit books. Yeah, I know, Ah-Mazing!!!
But this 2012 came with a whole different perspective. The fact that I had to take a break from my Master’s because the last courses that I need weren’t available gave me some kind of hope. So I was very specific with the Big Guy.I asked vigorously for a perfect summer. The kind of summer that makes people outside the island wonder why the hell aren’t they here.
And I think I have been a good girl overall, because this Big Poppa not only gave me a perfect summer, it also came with a partner to enjoy it.
This weekend was living proof of it. It had everything. Refreshing rains in the nights, shiny sun rays in the day, golden sand in the beach, and out of your mind sunsets. It was just how you will imagine a weekend in the Caribbean. But I will not bother you anymore with words. I have some pics!
Life has been good to me. Summer has been dreamy. Thank you Big Guy. I am a very thankful girl.
